You’re a Therian who-
-Was not influenced by a movie (Balto, Dragon Heart, Lord of the Rings)
-Was not influenced by a book (Twilight, Harry Potter, Eragon)
-Did not awaken because of the media.

Sorry, but I just don’t believe fiction kin exist. And are you trying to attack my spirituality and belief that I am, in fact, a Mackenzie Valley Wolf? I honestly don’t care for wolves, nor are they my favourite animal, but I cannot change who my identity is.
No! What did I—OH! Oh, I’m sorry, the “you” in that post was a general “you”—directed at all beings and people. Not you specifically! I’m sorry! :C I should have clarified.
Where do you draw the line at “fiction”, though? Because I’ve never seen a nonhuman dragon, fairy, or elf. I’ve never met a mermaid or angel or harpy or werewolf that was nonhuman. They’re “just stories, everyone knows that”. (The quotes were sarcasm.)
Now, if your problem with fictionkin is one of terminology (“therians” being “earthly animals” rather than mythical or fictional ones), then I’ll agree. I’m not really sure what differentiates therians and otherkin anyway. But I assure you that as much as you are a wolf, I’m a badgermole.
